Path to Support Project was created with a simple but powerful vision: to give rescue dogs a second chance while creating meaningful, lifelong partnerships with the people who need them most. By working alongside the rescue community in Baja California Sur, we identify dogs with the right temperament and potential, providing them with the care, training, and foundation they need to begin this incredible journey.
Now comes the part where we ask for your support.
To make this project a reality, we need:
🐾 Financial donations to cover veterinary care, training, equipment, food, transportation, and daily program expenses.
🏡 Support to rent and maintain a safe training facility for the first six months of the program, where our rescue dogs can learn, grow, and prepare for their future.
🥣 Donations of high-quality dog food to keep our dogs healthy throughout their training journey.
🛠️ Donations of training equipment, enrichment supplies, crates, leashes, and other materials that help provide the best possible environment for learning.
🤝 Volunteers, sponsors, and community partners who want to help us build a sustainable program that creates lasting impact.

A Gentle Journey of Learning and Connection
Dogs selected for the Path to Support Project begin their journey in rescue shelters across Baja California Sur, Mexico, where they are carefully evaluated for their temperament, confidence, and potential to become emotional support companions.
Once selected, each dog is placed with a carefully screened foster family in Baja for approximately six months. During this time, they experience life in a loving home while working with a professional trainer who visits regularly to provide positive, reward-based foundation training. This stage focuses on building confidence, emotional stability, socialization, good manners, and a strong bond with people in a real home environment.
When they are ready for the next step, volunteer Flight Angels help escort the dogs to Canada, where they continue their journey with a certified organization specializing in emotional support and assistance dog training. Led by experienced professionals, the dogs receive advanced training while being thoughtfully matched with the individuals or families who will eventually become their forever homes.
This is not strict or intensive obedience training. Every stage of the program is based on modern, science-backed, reward-based methods that prioritize the dog's emotional well-being, confidence, and happiness. The goal is to help each dog become a calm, trusting companion while allowing their unique personality to shine.
Many of these dogs will go on to provide comfort and companionship to individuals and may also participate in visits to schools, senior communities, healthcare settings, and other environments where their presence can make a meaningful difference.
Training doesn't stop with the dog. Future adopters also receive education and ongoing guidance from the professional team, ensuring they understand their dog's needs and have the knowledge to build a strong, lifelong relationship. By preparing both the dog and the adopter, the Path to Support Project creates lasting partnerships where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
Beyond transforming the lives of individual dogs, the Path to Support Project also helps rescue organizations save more lives. One of the greatest challenges shelters face is overcrowding. With limited space and resources, many are unable to take in additional dogs in need. Every dog that successfully completes this journey and finds a forever home creates room for another rescue dog to receive safety, care, and a second chance. By supporting this project, you're not only changing one life—you’re helping create opportunities for many more.
